AIRBOURNE To Guest On BRUCE DICKINSON's Radio Show
December 16, 2008Australian hard rockers AIRBOURNE will be IRON MAIDEN frontman Bruce Dickinson's guests on January 2, 2009 during Bruce's weekly BBC 6 Music radio program, dubbed "The Bruce Dickinson Friday Rock Show". Listen to the broadcast live via the Internet between 9:00 p.m. and 12:00 a.m. (midnight) U.K. time at BBC.co.uk.
AIRBOURNE in September cancelled its participation in the "Volcom 2008" tour featuring MOTÖRHEAD, VALIENT THORR and YEAR LONG DISASTER because the group's singer/guitarist Joel O'Keefe was suffering from strained vocal cords.
AIRBOURNE's video for the song "Runnin' Wild" — featuring a special cameo by MOTÖRHEAD mainman Ian "Lemmy" Kilmister — was shot with director Nathan Cox, who has previously worked with QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE, MARILYN MANSON and LINKIN PARK, among others. The track is the title cut of the group's new album, which landed at No. 106 on The Billboard 200 chart in the U.S. after shifting 7,000 units in its first week of release.
